The Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection Price and Review

Curious about the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection Price and Review? First let's talk about what the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is.

What is the Ritz Carlton Yacht Collection?

If you have ever stayed at a Ritz-Carlton hotel and enjoyed it, then The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection may be for you. The yacht collection is essentially the the same expected service and luxury lifestyle as the hotels and resorts built onto a luxury yacht. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is all-inclusive, we'll talk about what is included later.

What's included with the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection?

In addition to the service you would receive at a Ritz-Carlton hotel, the all-inclusive fare includes:

  • All-suite ocean-view accommodations, each with a private terrace

  • Access to a Personal Concierge in all suite categories

  • Onboard gratuities

  • Multiple dining venues

  • 24-hour in-suite dining

  • Beverages in-suite and throughout the yacht

  • Onboard entertainment and enrichment

  • Marina-style platform with access to watersports while at anchor

  • Wi-Fi through the yacht

One of the key things that I look for in a cruise is the capacity. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection accommodates less than 300 passengers. I am a big believer in the smaller the cruise ship the better the service. By small, I mean the less passengers the cruise caters to, the better experience you will have. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection meets that criteria.

What's onboard the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection?

Besides the luxurious accommodations and there are several areas or decks that is all part of the experience:

  • The Observation Lounge (Deck 10) - for lounging, cocktails, socializing, live entertainment at twilight, and serves as a late-night hangout

  • The Humidor (Deck 10) - for guests that may want to cap off their day with a premium cognac and enjoy a hand-rolled cigar

  • The Ritz-Carlton Spa (Deck 9) - for the spa treatments such as massages, facials, and local treatments. There is even a full-service Beauty Lounge Barber Ship, and a sauna, steam room and quiet zones for disconnecting

  • Fitness Studio (Deck 9) - there are fitness and spa lectures, nutrition that can be customized for each guest, personal training, sunrise yoga, and mat Pilates for you to stay fit while onboard

  • The Pool (Deck 5) - the pool house contains sun loungers and whirlpools. Guests can enjoy frozen treats, refreshing misting, and all day dining

  • The Living Room (Deck 4) - a gathering place to lounge with it's chic comfortable furnishings, it transforms into a cocktail lounge with a piano bar, and dancing and live music later on

  • The Boutique (Deck 4) - if you forgot to pack something, the boutique is where can find something, from exclusive sportswear and branded apparel to jewelry and leather goods

  • The Marina and Marina Terrace (Deck 3) - what sets a yacht apart from a regular cruise is the Marina and Marina Terrace, you and lounge in the sun or take a water toy out onto the water. You wont be able to do this in an Ocean or River cruise

What kind of food do they server a Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection?

The food will vary but the options will be the same. Check the yacht for specific offerings. Most will offer Asian style cuisine, an elevated dining experience inspired by Michelin-starred restaurant or chef, and locally and seasonally inspired creations. Do not worry there will be food for all kinds of tastes and likings.

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Price

What is the pricing for the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection? It depends...on where you sail to and from. How long you plan to stay. The minimum starts at about $4500 per person for a five night voyage (does not include taxes, fees, and port expenses). To budget on a higher side, you can expect to pay around $1000 (USD) per night, per person. Contact me for any specials or deals, as sometimes deals come across a travel agent's desk.

Do not get too sticker shocked, remember, that price is all inclusive of room and board, drinks, gratuities, and food (one restaurant exception not included). Do not let the price scare you. When cruising you have to look at the overall value, the per day spend, when comparing a stay on land vs a cruise going to multiple places. How much will you be spending on food and drinks every night? Will you be receiving the same type of service? Is the hotel on land the same quality as a Ritz-Carlton.

When deciding to enjoy the luxuries of a Ritz-Carlton yacht or doing a land based vacation, I can help with that to break down the costs. In most cases, it will be the same if not less at this quality.

Note that spa services, excursions, upscale dining option, and on board merchandise purchases are not included into the all inclusive price, so budget for that.

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection Review

There have been mixed reviews of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht collection voyages. Like a new restaurant or a new opening of a hotel, you will have to work out the kinks. There have been some reviews that hinted toward the preparedness of the yachts, mainly the service and delivery, nothing catastrophic. But you should have very high expectations for the price. With everyone of those reviews, the people are impressed with the design and experience. The cabins are clean and the ships are clean. The staff is nice. It's has been almost a year and if you are looking to book in the next 6-12 months, hopefully they have worked their kinks out and provided the same superior service as their hotels. I would have no doubt that they take their feedback seriously. We tend to focus on negative reviews and just the pure ambiance of the ship will make you feel relaxed enough.
